Warm by day but fog overnight

On Monday the thermometer rose 2.1C above the 38-year average with a maximum of 13.6C at 14.33.

It was another dry day, the eight this month, with the UV level of 2.2 still rated as Low.

Overnight due to clearing skies the thermometer dropped steadily to reach a low of 1.6C at 00.12 on Tuesday being 0.8C below average. Fog formed in the early hours that limited visibly to 500m at 08.00, up from 200m at 06.30.
