Milder again by day!

The thermometer rose to 9.4C on Thursday, an above average maximum (+1.4C). The converse was true of the overnight minimum that saw the thermometer drop to 1.2C (-1.1C) at 01.23.

The rain band that traversed the area in the early hours of Saturday brought 1.2mm of precipitation.

Saturday arrived with the trailing edge of the trainband slowly easing away to the east leaving brighter skies to the west. The thermometer at 08.00 had recovered to 4.1C.

The barometric pressure has fallen again with a current reading at 08.00 of 999.3mb with the air movement again on Saturday coming predominantly from the west.
