Windrush Weather

Changeable for the next few days

Sunday 29th March
Saturday morning brought us numerous hours of sunshine, however, variable cloud limited the sunshine in the afternoon hence the maximum of 10.2C was logged just after midday at 12.42, being 0.6C below average. The cloud cleared in the early evening that allowed the temperature to drop away to -0.2C at 04.27 resulting in a brief, light air frost.

There was the briefest glimpse of weak sunshine for a few minutes after sunrise on Sunday, through cloud on the eastern horizon. Shortly afterwards the encroaching thicker cloud obscured the sun for the rest of the day. The temperature had risen to 2.9C by 08.00. A couple of weather fronts will make their way across the country as the day progresses with the possibility of light rain later in the afternoon.

The forecast pressure charts indicate that the high pressure will push back on Monday to give us fine sunny day, however, by Tuesday cloud will once again obscure the sun as more cloud from yet more weather fronts traverse the country. The weather for the next few days can be summed as changeable due to westerly winds bringing moist air from the Atlantic, never particularly warm, with maxima around the average.

Thankfully, the glitch that affected the live feed yesterday was resolved overnight, and after rebooting the system this morning, the console display and full data have returned to normal.
