Monday was dry with the UV level well into the Very High category again. The wind was light and from the west with the thermometer not rising above 20.5C being 2.2C below the 38-year average.
It has been another cool night with the thermometer falling away to 5.0C, which was the coolest night for almost a month and a significant 6.9C below the average.
Tuesday arrived with clear blue sky and strong sunshine after dawn that saw the thermometer shoot up to 17.1C by 08.00. The anticyclone in the Atlantic is edging closer with the pressure rising again with a reading of 1025.5mb at 08.00, the highest since 13th June.
