Windrush Weather

Another deluge!

Rain for much of the day on Wednesday and almost continuous overnight produced a daily rainfall total of 25.1C. This was the wettest day since 18th and 19th December when 28.1mm and 29.8mm was recorded respectively. This additional precipitation has taken the monthly total to 71.3mm being just 16mm below the 38-year average for January.

The thermometer crept higher during the past twenty-four hours to reach 10.7C at 08.00 on Thursday being 3.7C above the average. The thermometer continues to creep upward.

Thursday saw the continuation of the steady rainfall from the very wide rain band that swept overnight with winds gusting to 36mph.

It is a pity that a bug in the website does not allow my iMac to update the monthly data of graphs and statistics, that I believe are available via Windows. I am awaiting 34SP to download the latest software to overcome this problem.
