Although the maximum of 15.8C on Sunday was the coolest day for a week it was still 1.2C above the long-term average.
Heavy rain began to fall just after mid-day that produced another 3.3mm of rainfall taking the monthly total to 99.0mm, which is 110% of the 38-year average. As mentioned previously, this is only the second above average monthly rainfall in 2022, February being the other month this year.
The overnight minimum was also above average (+3.9C) with a low of 11.1C.
Monday started with a little brightness but the sky was full of variable cloud although the sun did try to break through after 08.00. The warm air from a southerly quadrant continues.
