Currently, the wind has been rising with a gust of 29mph and the first rain drops falling just before 08.00.
Update on Tuesday at 17.50: maximum wind gust of 34mph at 10.52. Rain total for the past six hours, and still falling, already into double figures due to very slow moving, wide rain band.
Further update at 19.15. Backedge of rainband just exiting the area after 14mmm of precipitation. Temperature slowly falling, currently 6.3C, after being a degree warmer by day. Wind dropped out.
