Today is starting as depressing as yesterday with low cloud and frequent light showers of rain and drizzle. The rainfall total for yesterday was 2.6mm with a maximum temperature of just 16.6C, 4C below the mean for August, due to the cool northerly air flow. Today will be the thirteenth successive day with rainfall.
