The maximum of 22.8C on Friday was the lowest since the 5th (21.4C) and exactly average for July. The overnight minimum of 11.4C was just below average (-0.5C).
There two very brief, very light showers of rain at 17.35 and just after 20.00 amounting to 0.8mm. That brought the monthly rainfall total to just 13.1mm, which is only 22% of the 38-year average or 46.5mm below.
Saturday brought bright sunken after dawn that lifted the temperature to 16.3C at 08.00.
The equivalent loss of rainfall due to evaporation from ground sources and plant life has dropped in the last two days to about 2mm per day from 4mm and 5mm a week ago. The total loss of equivalent rainfall now stand at 77mm for July against the 13mm of rainfall – quite a deficit.
