Although there were 4.5 hours of sunshine on Thursday the thermometer struggled to rise above 4.8C, which was 2.5C below the February average and the coldest night since 13th December.
Not surprisingly, with clear skies and air from the northeast, the thermometer fell to a low of -4.6C, which was 6C below the February average recovering to -2.4C at 08.00.
This morning the sun was showing as soon as it rose above the horizon with the promise of much more today in the current clear skies.
