Although there was no strong sunshine yesterday the warm, moist southerly winds pushed the temperature to 23.0C, the warmest day this month and as the previous night, cloud cover meant a very warm night with a minimum of 16.3C, which is 5C above the average.
Light drizzle and rain, from a narrow weather front passing central England just after 05.00, produced 0.4mm of precipitation.
