Yesterday the UV levels were at their highest since July last year, not surprising as we are almost at the longest day when it coincides with spells of strong sunshine and clear skies. The reading of 8.9 was recorded at 1330 and is at the top end of the ‘Very High’ range.
The hours of strong sunshine have now reached a total of 103 hours for June and the soil temperature at a depth of 5cm was 18.3C at 0800 this morning.
