Yesterday the southerly winds produced twelve hours of continuous rainfall totalling 10.7mm, which brings the monthly total to 59.1mm or 91% of the long-term average. In the early hours of this morning the slow moving front eventually cleared, the wind veered into a north-westerly direction and the thermometer dropped to its lowest at 08.00 with a minimum of 0.9C after a high yesterday of 5.2C.
