The thick cloud all day on thursday meant that no UV light was registered, the first occasion since February. During the evening rain fell with a heavy burst at around 2200 amounting to the daily total of 5.8mm. This was followed by cloud clearing allowing the temperature to drop to 4.8C before beginning to rise just before daybreak.
