Windrush Weather

Three month low in barometric pressure

The barometric pressure has been dropping steadily for the past two days as a new low pressure system moves over the UK. At 08.00 today the reading was 996.5mb, which is the lowest reading since 28th March. The last twenty-four hours produced no strong sunshine although there were bright periods when the UV level again reached a Very High level. There have been intermittent light rain showers by day and night that amounted to just 2.7mm of rainfall in total. The Marlborough area has again missed the torrential downpours that have afflicted other areas in the UK. It is now almost a month since we had a wind from a south-westerly direction.
