Yesterday was a real summer’s day with almost 9 hours of strong sunshine,the second highest this month and a maximum 2C above the mean at 22.6C. Overnight the cloud cover meant another mild night, 3C above the mean at 14.3C. The rainfall this month, predominantly on the 1st now totals 23.2C, which is 35% of the mean for August.
