Another gloriously sunny day yesterday with 5.65 hours of strong sunshine, however the temperature was still depressed with a maximum of 6.8C, which is 1C below the mean for December. Overnight the clear skies meant another frost, this time down to a minimum of -1.2 that occurred at 04.36.
This morning has dawned bright with hazy sunshine allowing the thermometer to rise to -0.7C at 08.00. After the low humidity yesterday it has been rising steadily since midnight heralding a change in the weather later today as the high pressure begins to lose its influence as a depression approaches from the Atlantic.
