Strong North-Easterly winds bring drier air and significant wind chill

As the anticyclone drifted closer with a low of 1031mb, the wind veered into a north-easterly direction bringing drier air. The combined effect of strong winds from 15 – 20mph and low temperatures by day and night is currently producing a wind chill factor of -4C with a minimum of -5.4C at 0700 this morning.
