The barometric pressure has been rising for almost two days, which is resulting in clearer skies, some sunshine but lower temperatures. Yesterday we enjoyed 1.33 hours of strong sunshine with the promise of much more today. The thermometer dropped to a minimum of -0.8C overnight after a maximum of 5.6C yesterday. The quite strong wind gusts, up to 25mph, resulted in noticeable wind chill making the temperature feel several degrees below those shown on the thermometer.
