Another 12.5 hours of global sunshine yesterday (1.72 direct) produced a maximum of 20.3C, slightly up from friday. The moisture lost to evaporation from ground sources and plant life now totals 83mm with total rainfall at 53mm.
A cooler night followed with a minimum of 7.6C. Sunshine was evident after dawn but just before 08.00 thick cloud was driven across by brisk north-easterly winds.
