Lowest barometric pressure this month brings wind and rain showers

The barometric pressure has dropped to 1005mb, the lowest reading this month as a low pressure system covers the country. Winds yesterday afternoon gusted to 24mph and short sharp showers occurred late afternoon amounting to 1.3mm. There was some strong sunshine amounting to 0.59 hours, which lifted the temperature to a maximum of 22.1C but much cloud cover meant that the UV level dropped back from very high to high.
