With much less strong sunshine yesterday (2.53 hours) it is not surprising that the maximum temperature was almost 4C down on the mean for July at 18.7C. The cloud cover overnight meant a much warmer night than the previous with a minimum of 13.1C and a very light shower around dawn amounting to 0.2mm. This morning the wind veered into the northwest, which will give a clearer, cooler air with the sun beginning to break through just before 08.00.
