  • Another wet and dreary day on Sunday

Sunday started dry but went downhill with heavy rain that amounted 4.9mm. The temperature was depressed due to cloud cover and rain only reaching 7.3C being only just above the average (+0.3C). The temperature fell in the evening to around 5C and a minimum of 4.0C in the early hours, which was 2.7C above the average.

Monday dawned a little brighter although with the barometric pressure still very low due to the near presence of a deep depression, I expect it to be showery day with minimal sunshine.

  • Unsettled weather continues

The mild Atlantic air meant another very mild day and night with a high of 11.0C (+4.0C) and a low of 5.8C (4.5C).
Further rain arriving at 04.00 added another 3.8mm to the monthly total, now 24.9mm, average is 89.2mm

Saturday didn’t dawn as it was very black, dull and wet as yet another rain band passed over the area.

  • More of the same on Wednesday!

Another day with both maximum of 12.1C (+5.1C) and minimum of 5.8C (+4.5C) were well above average as the Atlantic Maritime airmass continued to drive our weather on a southwesterly breeze. Further showers added another 2.4mm taking the monthly total to 21.1mm.

  • Mild, Maritime airmass continues

The steady flow of mild but moist air from the Atlantic continued on Wednesday with again an above average maximum of 11.8C (+4.8C). Likewise, especially due to a clidi night, the thermlmter did not drop below 9.3C (+8.0C).

Thursday arrived with thinner cloud and a lower cloud base but not much su shine possible.
