Yesterday brought consistently strong winds with a maximum gust of 45 mph just after 10 00. A light shower in the early hours amounted to 0.2mm. The continuously strong winds and minimal rainfall for the last twenty-four hours meant low humidity of 81% at 0800.

Thursday so cloudy no UV registered
The thick cloud all day on thursday meant that no UV light was registered, the first occasion since February. During the evening rain fell with a heavy burst at around 2200 amounting to the daily total of 5.8mm. This was followed by cloud clearing allowing the temperature to drop to 4.8C before beginning to rise just before daybreak.

Wednesday was the sunniest day for two weeks
Yesterday the sunshine broke through the cloud with two hours of strong sunshine. There was a light shower amounting to 0.4mm overnight but the major feature again is the very mild weather. The last two days have brought a maximum of 13.0C, which is 6C above the long-term mean and a minimum of 10C that is 9C above the mean.

Second wettest day takes total above average
Sunday was another day with heavy rain amounting to 8.8mm, the second wettest day this month bringing the total for November to 99.4mm (109%). High winds were another feature with a maximum gust of 39mph. There have been only five totally dry days this month and just 16 hours of strong sunshine.

The mild weather continues with yet more rain. The precipitation yesterday amounted to 3.4mm bringing the total for November to 83.1mm, just a little short of the long-term average of 91.1mm. The maximum temperature yesterday was 9.9C., average for this month, with the thermometer dropping little overnight to a minimum of 7.3C.
