Another mild night and warmest morning since July 2015

Two consecutive, very similar days with modest strong sunshine yesterday amounting to 2.12 hours and a maximum of 21.3C, which is 1C below the average for July. The cloud cover overnight meant another very mild night with a minimum of 14.4C but by 08.00 the thermometer had risen to 16.8C, the warmest morning at this time since July 22nd 2015. Not surprisingly, the soil temperature at a depth of 5cm at 08.00, has risen to its highest temperature this year at 17.5C.
