After another day, which was predominantly cloudy with the persistent fresh winds from a north-easterly direction, the weather changed overnight. The peak temperature yesterday of 14.3C (average is 18C) was reached just before 6.30pm after the sun broke through late afternoon. The minimum occurred around midnight after which the thermometer slowly rose to reach 12.3C at 08.00, the warmest morning for a week. The morning broke with fog from low cloud with visibility down to 500 metres. Currently the wind has fallen out, the air is moist and feels much warmer as the temperature slowly rises due to the fog slowly lifting.
