Warm night and strong morning sunshine
The temperature at 0800 today was 17.9C, the second highest this month. Over five hours of strong sunshine yesterday raised the maximum to 23.9C.

Highest UV level again this month
Although yesterday morning was overcast with a little drizzle the sun broke though during the afternoon and boosted the maximum temperature to 24.2C with the UV level at Very High again, the equal highest (10th) this month. The temperature at 0800 today was the same as yesterday at 14.4C following a warm night.

Cloudless blue skies and very high UV level
After some cloud around midday yesterday, the afternoon brought cloudless blue skies with the UV level returning to the Very High category. The peak temperature was 22.4C, which is average for July, and 9.87 hours of strong sunshine. This was followed by a cool night with the thermometer dropping to 8.6C.

Strong sunshine returns
Following four days without strong sunshine, yesterday brought 3.15 hours with the level of UV still at High. There was a very brief light shower mid-afternoon but not sufficient to measure.
