Windrush Weather

Yet more rain on Sunday!

The radar on Sunday showed a succession of lines of showers progressing from east to west with short spells of sunshine between. The daily rainfall total was 5.2mm that took the monthly total 72.2mm, which is 124% of the 39-year average. Both the maximum of 19.7C and the minimum of 10.8C were below the long-term average with -3.2C and -1.1C respectively.

Monday early revealed a sky with minimal light, fluffy cloud and welcome sunshine that lifted the temperature to 14.9C by 08.00. The barometric pressure has recovered further, up 18mb on the lowest point from last Friday, 1016.8mb at 08.00. The higher pressure should indicate fewer showers than those that plagued our area over the weekend.
