The limited afternoon sunshine on Monday lifted the temperature to 8.6C, being 1.6C above the average and provided a UV level of 1.0, still rated as ‘Low’, but the highest value since 17th November. It was another dry day, the 13th this month.
It has been a cool night as the thermometer dropped to 2.0C at 21.36, Monday evening but then recovered, under cloud cover, to each 6.3C on Tuesday at 08.00.
The soil temperature at a depth of 5cm has also begun to recover with a temperature of 3.0C at 08.00, the highest since 15th January.
