Warm southwesterly winds boost temperature

With the wind veering into the southwest yesterday we enjoyed 3.27 hours of strong sunshine and the UV level was the highest for two weeks. As a consequence the thermometer rose to a maximum of 20.8C, which is 2C above the average.

A cold front this morning has brought bands of rain and drizzle sweeping from the west. Rainfall to 08.00 was 1.0mm.
