High pressure brings sunny day on Monday

Under the very high barometric pressure on Monday, suppressing any shower activity, we enjoyed 4.3 hours of sunshine with minimal cloud.

The very light wind, with a maximum gust of 8mph, came from the north west, still a cool direction so another cool day with a below average maximum (-2.6C) of 5.4C.

Thin cloud cover on Tuesday morning meant a bright, not sunny start, with the thermometer above freezing giving a temperature of 2.8C at 08.00 having risen from zero at 21.07 on Monday evening.
