Cool by day and night

The thermometer on Sunday struggled to reach a peak of 5.4C being 2.6C below average in the brisk northerly wind with no sunshine. Wind chill meant outside it felt 2C lower than that indicated on the thermometer. It was the first dry day for a week.

Although it was a cloudy night the temperature still sank almost to freezing with a minimum of 0.6C being 1.3C bellow average.

Monday arrived dark and gloomy under thick, low cloud with the wind light but having backed into the south.
