A little welcome warmth returns

Thursday was the warmest day since 22nd April with a maximum 16.8C, just average for early May. This improvement was due to the wind moderating and backing into the southwest.

It was dry day with 8.78 hours of strong sunshine.

A mostly cloudy and mild night followed with the thermometer not falling below 8.8C being 2C above the average.

Friday has arrived with a mostly cloudy sky and the occasional burst of sunshine and the thermometer at 08.00 rising to 10.6C. The air this morning is much drier with humidity of 87% at 08.00 in calm conditions.
