First above average monthly rainfall for six months

Friday saw the sun return for 4.7 hours with the maximum temperature almost exactly average for November with a peak of 10.1C.

A major rain band saw the first precipitation just before 04.00 this morning that by 08.00, when readings were taken, amounted to 10.1mm. This brought the November total to 96.5mm being 5.2mm above the 34-year average and broke the spell of six consecutive months with below average rainfall.

Saturday saw the wide rain band easing to the east with lighter precipitation but the cloud base still low hovering over the Marlborough Downs.
