Windrush Weather

Mild again!

Friday, although there was no sunshine, the thermometer rose to 10.6C, which was 2.6C above the 39-year average. This was due to the continuing modest westerly breeze, gusting to 19mph maximum, bringing mild, moist air from mid-atlantic.

The past night was cooler but still above average (+4.3C) with minimum of 5.9C.

Saturday dawned dull again with thick cloud cover and little wind. The airmass continues to come from the west with the barometric pressure the highest this month with a reading of 1038.3mb at 0800. We have now had eight consecutive dry days although the humidity has been relatively high due to the most air stream from the Atlantic. The humidity at 08.00 was 97%, the highest for over a month.
