Both the maximum of 20.3C and minimum of 8.8C on Saturday were above my 40-year average being +3.0C and + 1.8C respectively. The day was dry, five successive dry days and the UV level reached ‘High’ at its peak.
Sunday dawned dull with total cloud cover and the breeze brisk from the northeast with no sight of the sun by 08.00. Hopefully the sun will get to work on the cloud and make an appearance as the morning progresses.
The low pressure over the Low Countries and the high pressure in the eastern Atlantic are continuing the airflow from a northerly northeasterly direction and possibly for the next three days. The high pressure is edging closer, a rise of another 2mb since yesterday that is helping to keep any weather fronts at bay.
