Wednesday saw the thermometer climb higher again to a maximum of 12.4C being 4.4C above the 37-year average. It was another dry day with a cloudy sky and little wind, a maximum gust of just 11mph was recorded between times of calm.
The overnight minimum of 9.1C at 08.00 was 6.8C above the average.
Thursday arrived dull and gloomy with thick cloud still pervading the sky.
The high pressure has edged closer, currently close to the such coast. As a result the barometric pressure has risen to 1038.0mb at 08.00, the highest pressure since 28th February.
