There was little variation in the temperatures between day and night during the past -twenty four hours. The diurnal range was just 2.1C as the maximum was 5.4C and the minimum 3.3C. The cloud by day depressed the temperature, 5.2C below average, but meant the overnight temperature held up 0.9C above the 39-year average. It was the coldest day since 28th January.
The gloomy conditions under the brisk northeasterly breeze continued with the UV level of 1.0 the lowest for over a week.
