With the wind veering into the west then west-northwest the thermometer did not climb so high on Monday as previous days with a maximum of 21.6C being 1.1C below average.

There were a couple of very light showers during the afternoon, not amounting to much, just 0.6mm. That took the monthly total to 13.7mm being just 23% of the long-term average.
