Once again, thanks to the northwesterly breeze, a cool direction, both the maximum of 22.7C and the minimum of 7.1C were below average with -0.2C and -4.8C respectively. In fact, it was the coldest night since 5th June.
The day was dry with the UV level into the Very High category again.
There was welcome sunshine to greet the new day on Thursday that had lifted the temperature to 15.5C by 08.00. It should be a mainly dry day as we are currently under a minor ridge of high pressure with a reading of 1017.4mb at 08.00. The breeze continues from the northwest and light.
