Friday was the last of the very warm, sunny days that saw the thermometer climb to 25.2C being 2.5C above the average. The warm, moist air was brought on the brisk southwesterly breeze, gusting to 19mph. The past night was mild thanks to the advance cloud from the new derision, with a low of 13.9C, which was 2.1C above the average.
Saturday had a little brightness first thing, even brief bursts of sunshine but by 07.40 thick cloud hade totally covered the sky obscuring any further sunshine. Yet again the weekend will be blighted with anther depression, currently centred off the west coast of Scotland, thus the southwesterly breeze continues. The routine of sunshine and showers is back!
