The cloud persisted all day on Friday under the moist, warm Atlantic air. As a result the thermometer rose to 11.1C at 14.03 being 3C above my 40-year average.That warmth persisted overnight, not dropping below 8.2C, which was 6.5C above my 40-year average.
Saturday struggled into existence under a thick covering of low cloud. This is due to three weather fronts crossing the country during daylight hours, they are cold fronts, however, the temperature will continue to hover around 10C all day under the brisk westerly breeze.
