Tuesday brought us a dry day with the thermometer climbing to 20.2C early afternoon but this was sadly 2.7C below the average. Clear skies overnight combined with the cooler airstream from the northwest meant a cold night for July with a minimum of 5.4C, which was a significant 6.5C below the average and was the coldest night since 17th May.
Welcome sunshine greeted the new day on Wednesday especially as it won’t last much after midday with another depression approaching with rain the afternoon. The temperature had recovered to 13.8C by 08.00.
