Yesterday brought much relief after the second wettest July day with 7.7 hours of strong sunshine and no rainfall. The cool north-westerly winds reduced the influence of the sun with a maximum of only 20.3C, which is 2C below the July average. This morning continuous heavy rainfall started again just before 8.00am.
